Retro TV cop show Hawaii Five-0 to be remade for CBS

The retro cop series Hawaii Five-O is getting a facelift, and two hot screenwriters are signed on to do it, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci — the guys who wrote the recent Star Trek remake, as well as the Transformers movies — have signed on to CBS to write the pilot.
CBS ran the original series, starring Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, from 1968 to 1980.
The updated version is to centre around McGarrett's son Chris, who took over for his father as head of the ficitional Hawaii police force, according to Wikipedia.
No word yet on who'll get to utter the famous catchphrase, or who'll get to cover the memorable surf-rock theme song.
