Mego

Anyone else here collect Megos ?
They had some great lines - Superheroes, Planet Of The Apes, Starsky and Hutch, Happy Days, Space 1999 and er, The Waltons to name but a few.
Great figures that these days rival Action Man in the 'I'll repair it later' stakes!
A great line of repros has also started to appear in the last year, they are in most Forbidden Planet Stores.

I used to have some as a kid and recently acquired Starsky and Hutch mego's,,,,I got a bit carried away and bought a very expensive boxed mego/palitoy Gran Torino for them.

I've done some work for members over at the mego museum...I flocked some planet of the ape mego's grin

Didnt really get into collecting megos, although I do have a carded Star Trek captain Kirk and an unboxed James Bond Moonraker doll and a Maximillian robot from the Disney film The Black Hole, but only cos im a fan of those films rather than a Mego fan, but yep I do like them

Had Kirk from the Star Trek series...and a Klingon...plus a dozenor so Planet of the Apes figs...great litle fellas for me at the time,
and certainly helped when the love of VAM waned.

I had small (normal) Batman and 12" mego Robin, which always confused me. I had some Trek ones too, I think. I just bought the repro Kirk, Spock and Romulan from the new line. They're really nice!

I had Batman, Robin and the Batmobile when I was little. Hours and hours of fun.
I also had Spiderman. Of course all those toys vanished with time but I did manage to get a Spiderman a few years ago.

I had the CHIPs 3 3/4" figures with bikes.
