I never get tired of watching this classic cult film,yul bryner is silent but deadly in this.it is shown alot on tcm.

A great film Andy, and an early gem of the recently deceased Michael Crichton, who also directed, and a very similar premise to his later minor classic Jurrasic Park.

Guess what....a remake has been announced.....

now i would usually say that this should not be touched but,if they dont go over the top and go all Hollywood they may just pull it off.
now the cast would be interesting,who could play the superb yul bryner part?
i think josh brolin should play one of the main characters,he was simply superb as that bad cop in American gangster,and would be a fitting tribute to his dad.

I'm also a fan of this film. Had the video back in the day and have fairly recently replaced it with the DVD and rewatched it of course!  Still as good as ever. Just googled to find out about the remake because I couldn't recall it coming out: Warner Bros announced  in January 2011 that the remake was "still happening".  Not sure what to think about that but will definitely give it a go with fingers firmly crossed that they don't wreck it.
