Who remembers sarsaparilla tablets?  Some lads used to have them at primary school.  They were red with a sort of sugar frosting on top.  Tasted like lozenges a bit.
In my early years at high school, I remember sometimes queueing at the ice cream van which was at the top quad near our swimming pool.  We'd call it the frozz van, because they sold frozzes, i.e. fruit juices, fizzy drinks and Coke poured into plastic cups and deep frozen to be eaten as ice lollies.  I remember the red and blue ones - really nice and sweet.  They were my favourites, along with the Coke ones.  Another fave of mine was the Roy Of The Rovers pineapple bar.

I used to love Milk Mice, too.  As a 7/8 year old, I used to go to the shops in Whalley Range, Blackburn with my dad and he'd always buy me these.  My mum would also get me Incredible Hulk cigarette sweets.  These were candy sticks shaped like small fags.  Tasty.

You mean these?

Milk chocolate with a caramel and nougat centre.  Sounds very much like Mars.
