#0, by action-burt1, 19 January 2009 05:06 PM

I had quite a few horror comics as a kid, but cannot remember the name of them.
Same size and same black and white picture stories as commando....but rather scary
Anybody have any ideas? smile

There was a series called Dracula Lives, which started exactly the same week as the Planet of the Apes series, and was also by Marvel UK,( and stripped right from the US versions) these were in black and white and were scary as shit....my sister, being older, got this whilst I stuck to the fluffy Apes..
Copy of issue no.15.

I think I know what you're talking about, Mike.

When I was a lad, I used to buy Commando-sized editions of 'Conan The Barbarian' and other marvel comics.  The difference being that they were in black & white - not colour.

I have a collection of about a dozen in my memorabilia cabinet.  They were more common in countries such as Australia, NZ and I believe the UK.

Maybe Marvel/DC did a similar thing with their horror titles?  I'll dig around a bit and see what I can find...
Cheers,
Craig.
